2000年4月毕业于吉林大学外国语学院，并开始在北京邮电大学人文学院任教，所教授的课程涉及基础英语以及英语听、说、读、写等各类课型。2005年8月至2006年5月参加了中美政府合作的首批Fulbright FLTA中文助教子项目，在美国南卡罗来纳州的Wofford大学进修、工作。2014年8月至2016年6月，担任位于斐济的南太平洋大学孔子学院中文教师。曾先后出版主编教材《高级英语写作教程》，译著《通俗文化研究》，发表数篇关于英美文学以及英语教学的论文；主持和参与了多项科研项目， 主持“基础英语校级精品课程”，校级教改项目“英语专业本科生批判性思维的培养”等。曾获得校优秀学科竞赛指导教师, 院师德先进个人，并多次被评为院级优秀教师。

LI Huali is an associate professor and academic adviser for MA and MTI program in the School of Humanities at BUPT. She received the MA in English Language and Literature from English Department at Jilin University in 2000 and then started working as an English teacher at BUPT. The courses she has taught include Basic English, Listening, Extensive Reading and English Writing, etc. From August 2005 to May 2006, as one of the first ten Chinese Fulbright FLTA (Foreign Language Teaching Assistant) participants, she worked and studied at Wofford College, South Carolina, US. From September 2014 to June 2016, she worked as a Chinese teacher at Confucius Institute (CI) in Suva, Fiji, which is co-established by the University of South Pacific (USP) and BUPT. Having taken part in several research projects, she has published academic papers on English literature and English teaching, edited textbooks like Advanced English Writing and translated articles in On Popular Culture. Her research interests include English writing, English teaching and English & American literature and culture.
